Prayer Letter
October 1, 2007
Greetings,
I hope this letter finds all who read it rejoicing as we labor for the Lord. Our Savior surely is worthy of our praise and our service. The year has been both profitable and challenging for us as we move forward for Him. Back in January I began to use a wheelchair full-time and we had been praying for a van to use it with for two years. In July God gave us a 1 ton Chevy Van that was ten years old and only had approx. 50,000 miles on it. It is perfect for all of our needs and allows me to operate independently. A friend was also looking at the tires and then donated a new set. The Lord blessed in such a way that we did not pay anything for the van, what a great God we serve! We have but about 6,000 miles on it since serving the Lord.
During this fall time of the year many churches have a fall revival, may each of us fast and pray for our individual meetings to see God do great and mighty things to us, with us and for us. Truly revival is personal and must begin with the individual in order to affect the entire church and our respective areas for Christ. Recently, while visiting an area nursing home I met two ladies each saved for many years but now unable to see and read their Bibles. We were able to read scripture to both and it was amazing to see their countenance change and as the Word of God was read to them. Also this same week we visited a juvenile detention facility and met a young man who had battled drugs but after getting saved he has claimed the Bible to be the reason for his victory over drugs. Truly Heb 4:12 rings true in each example mentioned, "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
Right now we are praying for the fall and next year that the Lord would supply many meetings across the country. We not only want to see meetings but we want to the see the people of God refreshed, equipped, and exited about serving God in the day in which we live. Thank the Lord for His faithfulness in supplying all of our needs and going before us to each place that we have gone this year. We are also thankful for all those who have invited us in the past and look forward to serving them in the future as God allows. Thank you for all of your prayer and support.
In Christ,
