Prayer Letter
November 8, 2007
Greetings,
David proclaims in Psalms 103:1-2, "Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits." Recently I heard singer say that we are saved with benefits, and what a wonderful benefit package God has given us! I do want to thank and praise God for His leading and protection while traveling. Our family receives great joy and blessing in being a servant to the local church. What a blessing it is to be able to meet Gods choice servants as we travel around the country. We seek to do our part to stir Gods people to a greater degree of love for God and a greater burden for the lost, I'm sure we would all agree that only a healthy and fervent church will be able to carry out the great commission in the way that Christ intended.
Recently, we attended a mission's conference, while there the church went out and held outdoor services in area neighborhoods. The Lord blessed abundantly and we had over 30 in attendance at our meeting, 5 saved before the meeting ever started and 2 more during the service. My wife Renee had the privilege of leading 5 of those to Christ, what a blessing! The whole group of missionaries had 17 saved at 3 of these similar meetings as well. The Lord blessed the remainder of the meeting with many hearts touched for missions.
The night we returned home after the above meeting, we checked the mailbox and the Lord prompted a servant of His to send us a check for $1000! With this we were able to meet several needs. Again the Lord has blessed in such a wonderful way this year! We do have a burden for those churches who would like to have a series of revival meetings but are unable to take care of a visiting evangelist the way they would like. I would encourage any reading this letter who might be interested to contact us anyway as we simply want to help smaller or newer churches without the finances to have an evangelist in as well. If we can be a blessing in any way along these lines please do not hesitate to contact us.
As far as prayer requests, pray for us as we home school, also pray that the Lord will continue to supply our material needs in a mighty way. The Lord has opened doors for ministry this year, but we are praying that our schedule will be full next year and many more lives will be changed for His glory! Lastly, please do not forget to thank God for all of His benefits, especially during this Thanksgiving season!
In Christ,
Evangelist Jim Gray and Family
