What would happen to you? Where would you go? Where would you spend eternity?
Some would say we can't
know for sure, others say they "hope" they will go to Heaven
but the Good News is WE CAN KNOW!
That's right ... we CAN know, I KNOW and I want to share with you how you too can KNOW.
Do we have to go to a
certain church? NO
Do we have to be baptized? NO What if I am a "good person" ... will that do it? NO
All these things are
nice, they are good things, but they won't get us into Heaven!
Let's look at what God
says .... after all, it's His Heaven and He should be able to tell us how to get there, wouldn't you agree?
First of all let me introduce you to the Word of God.
The Holy Bible is the written
Word of God to us. It shows us how mighty God is. It
shows us how much God cares for us. It shows how gross our sin is, and how it
separates us from God. It shows us
how to come to God, and to become a child of God.
2
Timothy 3:16
16. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof,
for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
The Bible is our instruction
book from God. That instruction book tells us that God made a promise of
eternal life. God who is Holy and without sin can not lie. He always keeps his
promises. We see this inTitus 1:2
2. In hope of eternal life, which
God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
The Bible says you can KNOW
that you are saved from Hell and on your way to Heaven.
1 John
5:11-13
11. And this is the record, that
God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12. He that hath the Son hath life;and he that hath not the Son of God
hath not life. 13. These things have I written unto you that believe on
the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and
that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
* Jesus is God.
John 10:30-33
30. I and my Father are one.31. Then the Jews took up stones again
to stone him.32. Jesus answered them, Many good
works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone
me?33. The Jews answered him, saying, For
a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being
a man, makest thyself God.
Philippians 2:6-11 – Jesus is God, He paid the price once and for
all for our sins.
6. Who, being in the form of God,
thought it not robbery to be equal with God:7. But made himself of no reputation, and
took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:8. And being found in fashion as a
man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the
cross.9. Wherefore God also hath highly
exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:10. That at the name of Jesus every
knee should bow, of things in heaven,
and things in earth, and things under the earth;11. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the
Father.
Isaiah 45:22-23
22. Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends
of the earth: for I am God,
and thereis none else.23. I have sworn
by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in
righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow,
every tongue shall swear.
God stresses here that we can
KNOW that we have eternal life through His Son Jesus Christ.
*The
first thing you must realize is that every one is a sinner. That includes you.
Let’s look at what God’s Word
says:
Isaiah
53:6 - our way is not God’s way
- sin (iniquity) is the wrong way.
6. All we like sheep have gone
astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him
the iniquity of us all.
Isaiah
64:6 - The best we can do is like the lepers’
bandages. Leprosy
causes putrid sores that fester
and are wrapped by these bandages. Once used no one dares to touch
them for fear of the leprosy.
6. But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do
fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
Romans 3:9-10 – Everyone is a
sinner – no one is righteous!
9. What then? are we better thanthey?
No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are
all under sin;10. As it is
written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Romans 3:23 – Sinners can
not measure up to the best that God is.
23. For all have sinned, and come short
of the glory of God;
Ecclesiastes 7:20 – Everyone sins.
20. For thereis not a just man
upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.
1 John 1:8 – We are all
sinners! Do you realize that God says you’re a sinner? Do you understand one
lie makes you a sinner?
8. If we say that we have no sin, we
deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
*The next
thing we need to realize is that the price of sin is the eternal death in
Hell fire!
Romans 6:23
23. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our
Lord.
Romans 5:12
12. Wherefore, as by one man sin
entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men,
for that all have sinned:
James 1:15
15. Then when lust hath conceived, it
bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
Luke 16:22-24 – notice the
rich man died doing it his way, not God’s way.
(before
Jesus was resurrected, paradise was in the same area as hell. A great gulf
separated the two places. Now hell is a growing fire pit that is a dark and
terrible, lonely place.)
22. And it came to pass, that the
beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man
also died, and was buried;23. And in hell he
lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and
Lazarus in his bosom.24. And he cried
and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip
the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in
this flame.
Revelation 21:8 – sin earns us a place in the lake of fire.
Your part is waiting.
8. But the fearful, and unbelieving,
and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and
idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which
burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Revelation 20:14-15 - (Death
and hell will be cast into the lake of fire. The second death is the eternal
punishment for sin. There is no end. The second death is eternal separation
from God with no hope, burning forever to pay a price that has already been
paid. )
14. And death and hell were cast into
the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15. And whosoever was not found written
in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
*You must
realize that Jesus Christ took your place, He - an eternal being - suffered for
your sin.
John 3:16-17 – Jesus is God,
He came to this earth begotten of God. 100% man 100% God. He paid the price for
you, so that you can have everlasting life.
16. For God so loved the world, that he
gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.17. For God sent
not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him
might be saved.
Romans 6:23
23. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our
Lord.
Romans 5:8
8. But God commendeth his love toward
us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:6
6. For when we were yet without strength,
in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
Romans 5:21
21. That as sin hath reigned unto
death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by
Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 Peter 2:24
24. Who his own self bare our sins in
his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto
righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
1 Peter 3:18
18. For Christ also hath once
suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God,
being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
*We see Jesus
died for our sins, but that is not all He did. He rose from the dead and now
lives in Heaven.
Romans 6:9
9. Knowing that Christ being raised
from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8
1. MOREOVER, brethren, I declare unto
you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and
wherein ye stand;2. By which also
ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have
believed in vain.3. For I
delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ
died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4. And that he was buried, and that he
rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
5. And that he was seen of Cephas,
then of the twelve:6. After that, he
was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part
remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.7. After that, he was seen of James; then of
all the apostles.8. And last of
all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
Acts 1:9-11
9. And when he had spoken these
things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of
their sight.10. And while they looked stedfastly
toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;11. Which also said, Ye men of Galilee,
why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you
into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
Mark 16:19-20
19. So then after the Lord had spoken
unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.20. And they went forth, and preached
every where, the Lord working with them,
and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
Hebrews 7:25
25. Wherefore he is able also to save
them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth
to make intercession for them.
Psalms 33:13-15
13. The LORD looketh from heaven; he
beholdeth all the sons of men.14. From the place
of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.15. He fashioneth their hearts alike;
he considereth all their works.
*Not only did Jesus
die for your sins, He rose again from the dead and is in heaven. You must
realize that if you willingly will turn to Him, He will save you from your sins
and we will be with Him forever!
Luke 13:3 – repent means
to turn from your way to God.
3. I tell you, Nay: but, except ye
repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Matthew 18:2-3
2. And Jesus called a little child
unto him, and set him in the midst of them,3. And said, Verily I say unto you, Except
ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the
kingdom of heaven.
Romans 10:12-13
12. For there is no difference between
the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call
upon him.13. For whosoever shall call upon the
name of the Lord shall be saved.
John 6:37
37. All that the Father giveth me shall
come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
Matthew 11:28
28. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and
I will give you rest.
Revelation 22:17 – Come while there is still time!
17. And the Spirit and the bride say,
Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And
whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
Romans 3:20 – We can’t do
anything to justify ourselves. It is Jesus Christ and Him alone. The Law God
gave Moses shows all mankind to be sinners.
You
must turn from your sins to Jesus. He is waiting for you.
20. Therefore by the deeds of the law
there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
*Pray: “Jesus
I know that I am a sinner. I want to turn from my sins to You. Please wash away
all my sins. Make me your child. Please
give me eternal life. Help me to love you and serve you with all my heart.
Thank you
Jesus for all you have done for me.
In Jesus name
Amen.”
*You do not
have to pray those exact words. You do need to realize you’re a sinner, Realize
you need to turn from that sin to Jesus. Let him have those sins. He will wash
them all away. If you have done this, the Bible says you are now a child of
God!
John 3:16-18
16. For God so loved the world, that he
gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.17. For God sent not his Son into the world
to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.18. He that believeth
on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already,
because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
1 John 5:11-13
11. And this is the record, that God
hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12. He that hath
the Son hath life; and he
that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
13. These things have I written unto
you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye
have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
John 1:11-12
11. He came unto his own, and his own
received him not.12. But as many as
received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
